If you cannot get your check to me by that date, please let me know and bring your registration money to the Registration Desk on the morning of the conference. Your check is to be mailed to: District V FBLA, P.O. Box 463, Vilonia, AR 72173.
Registration Instructions
Click here for the registration form. An invoice will be created automatically in the second sheet of the registration form for you to submit for payment. Upload your completed form HERE. All chapters that are participating in FLC must complete this form and turn it in. Registration will not be accepted in any other format.
Conference Dress Code
Students, guests, and advisers may wear nice jeans with their new district t-shirts; however, the jeans may not have holes in them or be sagging. Tennis shoes, flip flops, or boots are acceptable to wear with jeans for this meeting. Advisers, before allowing your members on the bus, please make sure that their jeans are appropriate.
Forms
Please print the Conduct Rules, Permission Slip, AAA Form, and Agreement Form that are located in this packet and will also be on our district website. Advisers, please make a copy of the Conduct Rules and Permission Slip for every member that will be attending the conference. Once a member returns the permission slip, please have them sign the Agreement Form. The AAA Form and Agreement Form (with your principal or superintendent’s signature) must be uploaded to this Google Form by Friday, October 18th! You will keep the permission slips. Your forms should be labeled as follows: AAAForm_SchoolName and AgreementForm_SchoolName.
New Member Induction
Each chapter will have an opportunity to participate in a New Member Induction Ceremony at the conference again this year. We are very excited to do this. Not only will it help with your students’ Business Achievement Awards, it will be a great way to recognize your new to FBLA members. We hope that everyone will participate in this ceremony.
Local Officer Installation
Each chapter will have an opportunity to participate in a District-wide Local Officer Installation Ceremony. Officers being installed will receive a certificate of recognition (no cost). Additionally, keepsake officer medallions are available for pre-order only $6 each. You will also be able to add other local offices for medallions and certificates. If you would like to participate in the local officer induction at the conference, please fill out this Google Form. You do not have to get medallions, but please fill out your officers’ names on the form to participate. Please send the money for your medallions with your registration check. The deadline for your officer medallion order is Friday, September 27th.
Arkansas Foodbank Challenge
Each chapter is challenged to hold a food drive for the Arkansas Foodbank before the Fall Conference. Chapters will bring their food donations to the Fall Conference. Chapter Presidents will report on how many items were collected from their food drive during the Parade of Presidents. District V will get all food donations to the Arkansas Foodbank. The chapter with the most items brought to the conference will be invited to volunteer at the Arkansas Foodbank with the District V Officer team during the 2024 Spring semester. This is a great way for students to get involved in community service! HERE is a list of the most needed items for the Arkansas Foodbank.
Parade of Presidents
At the conference, each chapter president will come to the stage and give a report on their chapter. The president should cover:
-
President’s Name and School
-
How many people are in attendance at the conference for their chapter.
-
How many items their Chapter brought to the conference from their food drive for the Arkansas Foodbank.
-
Any fun activities that your chapter is planning to do this school year.
Door Prizes
Every chapter is asked to bring a door prize, to be given out during the conference. These prizes need to be in value of $15.00-$20.00. These door prizes will be turned in at the table, labeled with a sign “Door Prizes,” by the registration table. A member from each school that brings a door prize will be drawn for a door prize. The member chosen will come from your conference registration. Please make sure that the correct amount of door prizes you bring is labeled on the form at the “Door Prize” table.
National Anthem
District V is seeking audition (audio only) files of FBLA members that can sing The Star-Spangled Banner in acapella and would be willing to share that talent at the opening of the session at the Fall Conference October 25th. Please send your video, to be judged by a choral director, to Megan Johnson via email to megan.johnson@viloniaschools.org to be received by September 27th. The winner will be notified after all entries have been judged.
Cover Design Competition
Advisers, please encourage your talented and creative FBLA member(s) to compete in the annual Cover Design Competition. New this year, Cover Design graphics (JPEGs only) will be uploaded to the Google Form with the other conference documents. Designs must be created using grayscale. These designs can be computer generated or hand drawn and saved as a JPEG. The following are required on the design—since the winning design will be used as the cover of the program for the Spring Conference program. Cover Designs must be uploaded to this Google Form by Friday, October 18th!
